The Gion Matsuri Festival, held annually from July 1 to 31st, is also affected by the new coronavirus.
This year, neither the Yoiyama festival nor the Yamahoko Junko will be held, so the source of "Yakuyoke Chimaki" will be limited.
What you can surely get is crowdfunding to get support on the Internet.
The Gion Matsuri Yamahoko Association started its fourth year of crowdfunding.
During the period until July 27, we are collecting support on the crowdfunding site "Makuake".
"Makuake" has 5 courses from 5000 yen to 100,000 yen.
Depending on the amount of money, supporters will be given special Yakuyoke Chimaki by the Yamahoko Federation in return.
*All courses are subject to income tax deduction.
*They are planning to deliver the Chimaki to ward off evil.
For details, please check the official website of Gion Matsuri Yamahoko Rengokai.
I hope the Yoiyama festival and Yamahoko Junko will be held safely next year.

There is also a 3000 yen course available at this year's first "The Kyoto".
"The Kyoto" is a cultural information media service that Kyoto Shimbun, etc., started on June 9.
We will use the crowdfunding to raise support for Gion Matsuri Yamahokocho.
Applications for "The Kyoto" will be accepted from June 26 to July 31.
In return, one yamaboko rengokai special yaku-yoke chimaki for 3000 yen will be delivered.
