It is held during the Yoiyama period of the Gion Festival "Byobu Ｆestival".
It is said that this event, in which people in each Yamahoko-cho supporting the Gion Festival display family treasures such as folding screens, handicrafts, and works of art in each house so that they can be seen from the street, was called "Byobu Festival"
Ｂecause there are many folding screens in the decorations.
While the gorgeous parade of yamahoko floats is called "a moving museum" it is called "a quiet museum" and is one of the highlights of the Gion Festival.
