A unique Kyoto alley ① Kyoto's shortest shopping street "Kayu-koji"

There is a sign saying "Kayu-koji" that appears a little west of the north arcade of the Shijo Kawaramachi crossing.

It is a unique structure that goes through the inside of the store first, and about 30 stores are open.

Although it is the shortest shopping street in Kyoto, there are many hidden famous and popular restaurants such as cafes, dining halls and long-established eel restaurants!

The "Yojiya", known for its popular Kyoto souvenir oil blotting paper, also has its main store here in Kayu-koji.

If you take a step forward, you might discover something new!
