March 3rd is the Doll's Festival called Hinamatsuri in Japan.
Hinamatsuri(Doll's Festival) is an occasion to wish for young girls' growth and happiness.
We have no traditional doll decorations at our house, but we decorate a stained glass doll every year. We got it from Ms. Kawajiri from culture cafe Gallery YU.
I use for it for a decoration of the Christmas tree as well.
At the gallery YU, you can experience various stained glass workshops.
In the experience, easy workshops from 40 minutes making key straps or necklaces, and difficult ones take several hours making candle covers or other things.
There are also simple experiences that children can do.
Ms. Mieko Kawajiri will teach you gently.
It is fun just to look in the gallery. They have stained glass works and local artists' woodworks and ceramics are on sale.
After looking the gallery,
You can have fresh air and coffee at outside.
Please drop in when you come to Keihoku.
