My vegetable garden got attack by deer and wild boars last year.At the end of last year, I was wishing "I want to grow my vegetable." It's winter solstice today, called Touji in Japanese. We have customs for the day, eating pumpkin and yuzu and tahking a yuzu bath. Yuzu is a citrus fruit and it has a strong aroma smell. But the fruit was so hard, I wonder if it's edible or not, so I googled it.Google says "It is hard and tastes very bitter, so it is not suitable for eating raw."Ohh, grandma...I'm glad I didn't eat it (laughs).Quince seems to have various medicinal properties that good for cough and sore throat. I decided to make quince honey syrup.Cut quince into small pieces.Put the quince seeds in a tea bag and put it in the bottom of the bottle.In fact, quince seeds have high medicinal properties.Then, put the chopped quince and pour honey.It's done! very easy.The amount of honey was not enough. I heard a story of Mitsuhide after moved Keihoku that was very different from what I have learned at school and that surprised me.I when to Kameya Hirokiyo the sweet shop to buy some sweets for a meeting. And I found some sweets associated with Mitsuhide there!In Keihoku, there is a ruin of Shuzan castle which is said to have been built by Mitsuhide.One more sweet associated with the castle, and the sweet called "Shiroyama"The package is designed with a song that is said to have been written about the ruins of the castle in the Meiji era.Actually, the owener of the sweet shop is a member of ruins of Shuzan Castle protecting group.Since the main character of the drama was chosen, some people traveled from Tokyo to Keihoku to see the ruin. And some people visit to the sweet shop.The castle remains untouched which is very rare for Mitsuhide, this is the only one left.And one more sweet.
