It's been 3 years since we started using a wood stove.
And it's been working great.
This stove was made by Erba kobo.
Erba kobo is run by two artisans Mr. Hagiwara and Mr. Takahara.
They do really good work.
(CHeck the article of Erba kobo guesthouse. You can stay and see their works iron, pottery and felt.)
The stove designed very simple and looking cool.
I need this stove to survive in Keihoku's cold winter.
The price of the stove is 120,000 to 150,000 JPY and 10 % tax.
It's a bargain price!
(Ask them the total included price with chimneys, transportation and construction. The price changes in the situation.)
It may be not easy to use a wood stove in cities.
Using the woodstove is suitable for Keihoku.
It's easy to get firewoods, have a space for stock, neighbors don't care about smoke much, and it's cold in Keihoku.
I spend 20,000 to 30,000 JPY for firewood in a season.
And I correct some firewoods by myself which is priceless.
I think it's a little bit cheaper than buying kerosene. And way cheaper than electricity.
It's really good to know where the energy I use comes from. I feel great.
Do you know where the energy you use comes from??
It might from a nuclear power station or burning coal.
It might be causing the environment problem without our notice.
By using a woodstove, I think we can care more about the energy we use.
And looking at fire warms your heart up.
