I went to a Japanese black beef restaurant "Tokiwa" in Shuzan Keihoku.
At restaurant Tokiwa, you can have delicious meals for 1,000 yen to 5,000 yen.
Actually, I got asked the restaurant to make their brochure and flyer so I went to take pictures of their menu.
BeforeI started taking photos the owner said to me.
Owner "Please have try our menu after you finish shooting."
Me "Are you sure? Ohh Yes! yes! Please!!!"
I took photos of rib roast sukiyaki.
The rib roast of A5 or A4 Japanese black must be delicious.
During shooting the photos, the smell was so yummy・・。
I was like a horse with a carrot hanging in front, I desperately finished the shooting.

This is really delicious.
It was far beyond form my expectations. I was moved.
This Sukiyaki is not a regular restaurant menu so you need to make a reservation. The price is 5,800 yen (with tax and service charge) for 200 g, which is really good price.
If you eat it in Kyoto city center, it will cost more than 10,000 yen.
You can have a private tatami room on the second floor, so it's perfect for a family celebration.
Tokiwa is a butcher and they buy a whole Japanese black beef, so that's why they can offer it at this price.
If you want to try it out cheaper, how about the sirloin yakishabu set meal for 2200 yen (tax inc)?
This is also quite delicious. The ponzu sauce is superb.
If you don't need veggies and just want to eat good meat, I think this one may be better.
They also have one-person small sukiyaki from 2,200 yen.
You can eat this at a restaurant.
It is a limited meal about 5 meals a day, so I recommend you to make a reservation.
If it's delicious, you can buy meat for souvenirs at the meat shop next door.
They have marbled beef for gifts to reasonable cuts for daily use.

To be honest, if you want to eat at home, a cheaper cut meet is good enough. It's really delicious.
At the end of the year, meat for Sukiyaki as a gift would be sold out quickly so you need to book it very early. but I think you can order it right away at this time of the year.
Also, I have a trivia to share. In fact, Japanese black's oil is rich in smooth unsaturated fatty acids, and it makes your blood smooth and is good for your health. Especially Female beef is richer in unsaturated fatty acids.
